Compared with RS-232 bus, it is ready to switch data in further distance with lower value. This matter has been lined in blog posts, on Arduino boards, and on stackexchange, however there's so much info that it might rapidly result in confusion. This works properly over a short distance in a lab environment, however it's unreliable over an extended distance and could result in unusual issues, if it even works in any respect.
